Hurt My finger..help please?

First off I get acrylic nails. Last week I hit my middle finger nail lightly (seriously light) and it bent back almost completely. It started bleeding. It has heeled and it is completely detached from the nail bed except for a tad bit at the cuticle Since it has heeled and I have cut it down to almost my cuticle. my question is : will it grow back? and whats something that could help speed up the process or help it from growing back looking monstrous? Thanks
