Whats wrong with me??please help URGENT!?

Ever since like 2 days ago, my cuticles hurt sooo bad.they feel like someones stabbing needles into them, and the pain comes in spasms.I know its not my nail polish because I only painted them yesterday and they hurt before I painted them. No, there are no cuts or hangnails. Please help though what is it and what should I do?
