I have white blonde hair and I want to dye it to a more natural ash blonde. Help!?

My hair is just too white. My roots are growing in and I just don't even want to bother with it. My natural hair color is an ash blonde and I want to pick a good color to go with my roots. Any advice/dye brands/ similar situations? My hair cuticle is so blown I don't even know if it'll hold any color but I don't know. It's worth a try.
